SKYVIEW RANCH CAMP
June 5th-June 9th
This is our summer camp for graduating 6th-12th grade students. We offer an amazing summer camp experience for teens!

We KNOW students have been overwhelmed with all the change and unsettling that has occurred over the past 2 years. We want to help them to settle into what's being dubbed "the new normal." To do that we have to be equipped with the right tools for dealing with many of the emotions that come with change.

What is the Cost?
We've ALL been hit hard financially! We know this has impacted MANY of our families, that's why our camp this year is $400. ($350 before May 24th)

Other area camps cost $500-$700! We know, we've looked! We want to make sure that your student(s) is able to attend so we keep the cost down.

Where is Skyview?
HOW DO THEY GET THERE? SHBC Transports students to Skyview using parent help! If you are not able to drive, that's okay, we will make sure your student has a ride.

Skyview Ranch is 175-acres designed to create life impact. Our goal as a Christian Camp and Retreat Center is to help expand God’s Kingdom camper by camper through our many facets of programming spanning all four seasons. Though the loss of our Welcome Center hit us hard in November, we entered 2021 strong without dropping any of our five scheduled Winter Retreat events, the first of which took place only eleven weeks since the fire.

Every year at Skyview we do Spirit Sports and encourage kids to dress up in their teams colors. Anything from faceprint, pom pots, sunglasses, hats, socks, or even that color shirt! There are LOTS of ideas to choose from and plenty of places to get them...dollar tree, 5 Below, Part City (yes that still exists), or here are suggestions on Amazon.

They can bring extra for paintball if they wish to buy extra "paint". Alos there is a camp store to purchase snacks, hats, shirts, drinks, etc.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES?
Please contact Skyview directly and ask to talk to the food services director. Give them the week they are attending. They will allow some food to be stored in their fridge if your child has food allergies, not food preferences. =) Please call no later than May 30th.

WHAT ABOUT BEDDING and TOWELS?
Students can bring twin sheets and a blanket or a sleeping bag, whichever is their preference for sleeping. Also they will need to bring their own towel as well. We recommend a bath towel as well as a beach towel for the pool and lake.

High School "LUAU"
On Wednesday of camp the high school students are invited to a Luau! Yep, we're chaining things up this year and doing something a little different. We will have the chance to learn some new line dances as well as some old familiar ones. We are encouraging everyone to wear a Hawaiian Shirt and a lei!
Camp Tournaments
There will also be opportunities to participate in a camp-wide dodgeball tournament and a 3 on 3 basketball tournament as well! So dust off those basketball shoes and work on those free throws! Also students are encouraged to fully embrace the dodgeball culture with theme music, costumes, crazy names, etc. Also, the winners of the respective tournaments will also win a long-sleeved tshirt emblazoned with "tournament Winner". It's part of the perks of preparing in advance.

Spirit Teams
Spirit Teams are a great source of fun and team-building at Skyview! We recognize that many of our students are extremely competitive and take our Spirit Sports very serious. We have made every effort to accommodate everyone's cabin buddy preferences while also considering other things like athletic ability and leadership. We are also not able to accommodate everyone's preferences. We again make every effort and ask for your understanding as we try to provide the best possible experience for ALL of the student's involved. Thanks again so much for you help in this.
